Goin to lebonon valley speedway tommorrow to run the quarter mile for the first time. have any helpfull hints to help performance for a 1/4 run.tricks to better times etc...?

Tip 1: don't hit the wall
Tip 2: Launch on the last yellow, don't bother waiting for green
Tip 3: Don't piss off Tech
Tip 4: Which - ever side the exit of the track is on (our track is on the left) after the 1/4 -- always wait for the driver on that side of the track to exit before you do.....
Tip 5: Have fun

1. If race gas is available at your local track, use that instead of 93, you will be able to run much higher boost levels, since race gas is more knock resistant.
2. Don't break the car

oo, another dsm person that goes to lebanon valley, i usually go up there every wendsday nights. if u really wanna get into it, drain all ur gas and get 2 gallons of c16 from the race fuel place at the track, its sorta hidin at the end of the staging lanes. its like 7 dollars a gallon i think for c16 [ hehe crack for dsm's] other than what everyone else said, ice bag the intercooler, lower the air pressure a lil in your tires, dont bother doing a burn out, just go around the water box, oh yea i forgot to mention, try to get an early place in the stagin lanes so u dont have to let ur car heat up idleing in the staging lanes, or u could push ur car if u really wanted, take out the headlight for more airflow. one last thing... shift like a mad man!!!! hope it helps maybe i will see u sometime at the valley, good luck

Don't let your car get too cool in the staging lanes.... your ecu will give you less spark advance if the car is too cold

As far as race gas, run unleaded racegas if you have a cat... running leaded race gas with a cat WILL cause major problems (clog your cat = less power).
