Hey
This is my first post...i've dont some reading, with no luck, so sorry if this has already been answered. I would like to purchase a 4G64 and do the 4G63T head swap to make it DOHC turbo and i feel like that would seriously haul ass. then id like to put the engine into a 92 tsi, so im wondering if the 4g64 will fit in the 92 tsi ? what r the major differences between the 4G64 and the 4G63. And does anyone know if the 4G64, being a 2.4 wieghs much more then the 2.0L? I read that the blocks r the exact same with bigger bore? any info here would be much appreciated, or any other info someone thinks i should know, lke maybe how much all of this might cost me LOL.
Thanks
:)

well, the blocks are almost the same. the deck height on the 4g64 is like 6mm taller aswell as the bore being bigger. yes it will swap in. do some searching, the answers are out there, because i personally have answered this question numerous times.

great thanks man, umm do u have any idea what that setup would put out? cuz i searched for it but whenever i enter in 4g64 with 4g63 head hp output or similar fields i get nothing close to what im lookin for, and any idea on a price? thanks, and i dont need new mounts or nothing?

check this thread I posted alot of info in it with great links for your project. ONly thing is the thread originator has a spyder n/t and wanted to put the 4g63 head on but alot of the links I put up would also apply to the info you are trying to find. Read the whole post from where i start to reply thats where it gets into the whole hybrid engine talk. Second you do know that the 4g63 will be more than enough to satisfy your hunger for power. I mean i was thinking of doing this project myself but I don't feel like going through trannies every other day and whatnot. But if you realy want to do it there are alot of helpful links on this thread.
REMEMBER THE INFO THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR COMES AFTER I REPLY TO THE THREAD. later. hope this helps.
