This winter I am planning on doing a semi built 6 bolt swap for my 95 FWD. Ive been doing some research and I am curious about the whole 2g piston 1g rod setup. What kind of performance gain would I expect to see with this? I already have the shortblock but I need to buy a head. I was looking at magnus's stage 2 head which comes mildley ported with stock valves and valve train. Really here what I am asking is if someone could help me come up with an engine combo that will get me to a low 12 second 1/4 at my elevation (4200). Im not even sure how big of a turbo I should look into because Im not sure about the internals yet. I know this is vauge but please I really need some help here. Should I spend the money and get forged internals or will the 1g/2g setup be enough? Thanks in advance
