I have heard a lot about porting things and i have bought some stuff off of ebay, Intake and Exhaust manifold, o2 housing and throttle body that i wanna sent out to get ported so i can put them on my car. Does anyone know where is a good place to get stuff ported at? And what are the advantages of porting and CLIPPING? a turbo, not sure what that means. Thanks

Well when you port something your simply making the hole(s) bigger. On a turbo for example, porting it helps reduce spoolup. Clipping im not exactly sure what they do, but it gives you some better top end power and i believe slows spoolup slightly.

I believe clipping is when they change the angle of the vanes on the turbine side of the turbocharger. Clipping will provide less exhaust restriction, but at the cost of a slower spool-up.

Someone slap me if I'm wrong. :)
