I need your help. Im looking for good cam gears for my set up and im not sure what kind or what configuration to get. Any suggestions would be appeciated. Also, any other upgrades you guys can suggest ???? My goal is to hit the 12's easy.

I have the following:

ENGINE MANAGEMENT & GAUGES:
APEX SUPER AVC-R
APEX SUPER AFC
APEX SUPER ITC
APEX EGT GAUGE
APEX A/F, 02 SENSOR, TURBO TIMER

FUEL SYSTEM:
DENSO 720 CC INJECTORS
MSD IN LINE FUEL PUMP

ACT CLUTCH 2600 LBS PRESSURE PLATE

I actually have a MSD inline fuel pump. I have two fuel pumps in the car. the stock one, and the MSD thats mounted in the engine bay. Im gonna get a datalogger so i can finally do some fine tuning. i hate tunning blind, even w/ an egt, its not enough.
 
Use aftermarket camshaft in compliment with cam gears.
However, unless you have plenty of dyno tuning, gears will not help you much there. Cam gears are usually for those in the 11s or trapped at least 120mph. $$$ for dyno is the key.

I would suggest HKS camshafts first and go from there.
 
Thanks for the info all. Im also thinkin, would a exhaust manifold help as well? I have the stock one match ported to the 20G. Nothing done with the runners, but would it help alot if i got some aftermarket exhaust manifold?
 
You have a ported exh. manifold and it's good to go. If you want more exhaust flow, you should try O2 eliminator DP with atm dump.
 
1. Tuned you should already be hitting 12's
2. HKS cams and can gears are the best
3. Get the HRC special manifold

Cams themselves arn't going to really add that much HP..maybe 10.
What they do do however is give life to 3rd gear. Instead of losing 45HP off your topend from 2nd to 3rd, you only lose lets say 10. In essence, your HP curve doesn't start nose diving nearly as bad (if that makes any sense) :> It will decline, but more of a horizontal curve.

All in all, you will see better times since you are maintaining more HP now throughout 3rd and somewhat in 4th gears.
