Best choice for a 3 inch Exhaust?

Does anyone have a Thermal research 3 inch full Stainless exhaust system for a 2g fwd? I have a Greddy evo cat back system now , but its rusting pretty bad and I need to upgrade the Downpipe and cat anyway. What kinda sound levels does the Ther. Res. exhaust make? Will the down pipe fit an evo o2 housing?

the thermal 3" turbo back is probally the best exhaust you can put on your 2g
i know someone with the thermal turboback on his 2g awd and he loves it, its one of the best sounding and looking exhausts iv ever seen on a 2g, and he doesnt have any complaints about how it performs
my best friend has the extreme 3" turboback on his 2g fwd, its actually the same exact exhaust as the thermal except it is made by extreme motorsports instead of thermal r&d and uses a muffler that looks different but performs almost exactly the same
it sounds good and performs great o his fwd, he loves it, the only cmplaint he has is that the muffler on the extreme technologys turboback has a tip that bends straight instead of the tip comming out at the same angle as the muffler like it is on the thermal turbo back

Thanks for the advice. I agree I do like the muffler and tip for the thermal research system better, but the rest of the exhaust looks pretty much similar.

I'll take the pepsi challenge with any of the name brand exahusts with RnR's... They sounds great, they looks great, and you won't break the bank to affored a SS turboback...end of story, IMO...

I have the 3in Thermal with a Hahn eliminator DP and 3in staight pipe and I LOVE the sound of it. I give the quality and sound and gain of the thermal a 10. And now that I have the DP and test pipe it REALLY sounds good.

i think the best exhaust is a custom one. Get a free flowing muffler and some resonators if u want and find a shop who does mandrel bending. Cheapest way. Pick up a downpipe from ebay..cheap and work well. Exhaust is only some pipes. You dont need to be a brain surgeon to pick an exhaust system. The sound u want will depend on what style muffler...straighthru or not...and if u want a resonator or not. If u want an o2 eliminator then get a downpipe from RNR.
