Does anyone have any pics of the wiring harness they made for the cas? I've seen all the diagrams for this on the vfaq, but I need to actually SEE what it is that I'm looking for. I don't even know where these other sensors are. Also I've got a '95, and it doesn't even HAVE a cam angle sensor. So I'm trying to figure out what all I need to connect together. So if anyone has any pics of the harness and where all it connects...THAT WOULD BE TRULY AWESOME!!! Thank you for your time and any help you can give.

I promise you... there's nothing attached my intake cam. I've looked a thousand times trying to figure out what the hell. I'll take a pic of it and try to figure out how to put it up here so you can see what I'm talking about. I see the bolt holes there where a cas should be, but there's nothing there.

It is down on the head, you should easily see it when you pull the motor, it plugs in near the ac compressor.

When you are read to wire it up take a good like at the diagram it will kind of confuxe you at first.

Here is what you need, take power and ground from your cam angle sensor on the engine harness.

Connect them to the new 1g cam angle sensor, it will be red to red and black to black.

Okay so now your cam sensor has power, you just need signal.

For cam signal connect the blue/red wire from your harness to the white wire on the 1g cam sensor.

For crank signal connect the blue/white wire to the yellow wire on your 1g cam sensor.

If you want to make a neat harness you should try finding something off a junkyard car, it doesnt even have to be mitsubishi it just needs 4 wires on both sides.

Kevin,

The 95s (and I think 96s) have both a Cam Angle sensor and a Crank Angle sensor with the cam angle sensor in a spot unique to those years. The cam angle sensor is mounted under the aft (closest to the fire wall) cam drive pulley and the wires for it come “through” the timing belt cover at the top of the cover. The crank angle sensor is mounted futher down on the front of the engine.
