FP stopped making the 30 55?

My shop ordered a 30 55 five weeks ago. FP called them today saying it's ready for shipping, BUT it's now a 30 52 and it costs $150 more?? This is odd to say the least. They said thay had problems getting the 56 trim wheels and the spooling was too slow??? The new 30 52 has a 4" intake. What wheel is this?

If I was you, I'd be on the phone with FP first thing in the morinin'. Let us know what you find out.

It seems like they killed off the 3055. But the 3052 is similar in performance, it might spool a little faster.

But I'll let FP debut the info on it. It sounds like it will be at the SEMA show.

Sounds like they are using the "3052" in referance to the GT11 cartridge, which uses a 52trim compressor wheel (2.16 inducer/3.00 exducer) If they are referring to the 52 as being the flow potential, Im stumped. Not sure of any compressor wheel flowing 52lbs per min.

Lets see.. there is the GT35 52 Trim: 54.8mm inducer and 76mm exducer. This is a 50lb wheel. Same used in the HKS 2835 as well. I would GUESS that this is the wheel they are using.
There is the GT 3037 52 Trim: 59.1mm inducer and 82mm exducer
There is a 52 Trim GT42.... this isnt it .. hehe

Nope. Guess again.

As of 2 weeks ago there were only XX cartridges in the US of this spec.

And we had 'em all.

Is it a 52 Trim T04SR? No that cant be it.... That's a 77lb wheel. So I'm stumped.

So, here are some GT wheels that flow near 52lbs other than the 52 trim GT30.
GT30 56 Trim 2.25 inducer / 3.00 exducer - 55lb Ok, that's not some wheels, that's "a" wheel.

Well, I have no idea, but it's fun trying. Work is boring today. We all know it will work well, that's for sure.
