Im getting a L2R turbo soon, do i need more mods?

Im getting a AGP L2R ball bearing turbo in exellent condition only a couple thousand miles on it for a good price pretty soon. Im wondering if i have enough mods to make it spool good and be able to get decent boost out of it, heres my list

currently installed:
3inch RNR catback
cone air intake adapter
UICP w/1G BOV
ACT 2100 clutch
MBC

just ordered:
255lph walbro pump
Apexi S-AFC
RC 550cc injectors
'S' UICP

I probably need a new IC after i get it in too but once i get all the stuff i ordered on will I be able to get good track times out of this turbo?
 
I don't see a downpipe in your list of mods, also you have no FMIC and you will probably want bigger injectors, 550cc won't cut it. Also you will proabably want to port your exhaust manifold.
 
is it ok to bolt on the turbo and then finish up the mods? like is it gonna run noticeably shitty cause i dont have a FMIC and downpipe? i plan on getting those eventually anyway

Not if your making alot of drag passes. I had my L2R for about 10months and I have a 2100 and it's still fine but I never go to the track.
 
Definitely 660s...it isnt that much more money to go from 550 to 660s, so mine as well, you'll be able to get the max power out of the l2r with 660s. also, with those and a 255 fp, you're gonna want a adjustable fuel pressure regulator...stock fpr won't be able to handle that pump and pressure will go way up, and you;ll be running real rich and not get any power. and yeah, the stock IC is gonna hurt you...kinda inefficient with a turbo like that. definitely get a 3" downpipe...the stock one sucks. i would buy the turbo now since your getting a used deal, but dont put it on until you get your car running good with all the other mods, plus a downpipe, afpr and IC (supra if you want something cheap that works). once everything is tuned with the stock turbo, and you'll have some experience, then put on the l2r and you shouldnt have any problems.
 
i have a walbro 255 and denso 660s, and my car ran really rich....like no power at all and i couldnt rev past 4000rpms or the car would stall out. thats cuz of the stock fpr. some cars don't have a problem with the 255/stock fpr combo though, like yours. check you fuel pressure to see where it is at, and that will tell you if a adjustable one wil help.
 
Uhg, Seph! Being that Im the one selling you the turbo. And being that YOU already talked to me. Why would these guys know any better than I? ;) I informed you of the necessary sopporting mods to run this turbo. And to the comment about NEEDING an afpr, or you wont make power. I dont think so. Good idea, but not an absolute. I still have the stock fpr, and I gurentee Im making a crap load more power than alot of people with afprs.:cool: But go ahead, keep on getting EVERYONE elses oppinion because you dont think Im smart enough. I dont mind:cry:
 
LOL Dave I know you probably know more then most people on here, i was just bored at work and i needed something to post about and i wanted to see some other opinions, not that i doubted yours ;)

now i just need to save up so i can buyyour turbo, and then save some more for a FMIC =P looks like im gonna be strapped for a while... well i guess DSMers are always poor though, always saving for the next mod hehe
