Is it bad to drive around with the MAS unplugged????

I am currently venting to the atmosphere(temperarily) and my car idles like crap but after doing some work on it today i forgot to plug the MAS back in and the car ran great!! but as soon as i plugged it in, it ran poorly again. so what are the negative consequences of driving around with an unplugged MAS??

Thanks in advance

Typically w/o the mas plugged in the car goes into "limp" mode... I'm guessing if you attempted to go WOT you would be spewing out black smoke

the same thing is happening to me, but whenever i try to move it has no power...i bought all new IC pipes and a bov that reciruclates and it does the SAME damn thing that the one that vented does at idle.....it pisses me off....im about 2 sell this thing...

bro i think you have some sort of factory freak of a car its way faster than most cars with the same mods as yours and it does weird ass shit like this haha. but ya like stated before without the mas plugged in goes into safe mode or whatever, most cars that I have dealt with barely run wihtout it plugged in just revving the car is a chore and a half so i don't really know what to tell you. Simply put I wouldn't recomend it.

i tried leaning out the car 10% instead of 5% at idle and retarding the timing 5 degrees, and that helped for awhile but i have a monster ass vacuum leak, i think its the throttle body gaskets... so im picking up my gaskets at o' reillys 2morrow and see what it does now

have you tried unplugging the cars battery for 15mins and put the plug back in the mas

then plugging back the battery and let it idle for 10mins and then take it out for a test drive??

basically you'll be reseting the ecu and would back the factory default settings into action where the MAS IS PLUGGED IN !! try that out and see what happpens

Once I left the plug off also on my galant and it ran but it ran real rich. It would idle horible but it still drove fine... The only thing I went threw a tank of gas in a weekend...
