Not necessarily. MOST 16G's (unless its custom) come with 7CM housings. Doing what robvas suggested will give you a 6CM-16G. Should have better spoolup to sacrafice a little top-end. It would be a good autocross turbo, but not as good on the strip. BTW, I have posted this before: when I was trying to think of a turbo upgrade, Al Blaha emailed and said this was the "perfect" auto-x turbo for our cars. I think everyone who knows DSM's can agree that Al Blaha knows a few things about our cars.

Robvas, its up to you. As others have mentioned, you can buy the whole 16G as a unit for just a little more money. Depends on what your goals/aspirations are.

I don't believe all you people saying that 14B share the same exhaust housing as a 16G. What is wrong with you people? Thank you 2-0turbo for straightening all the misinformed people out...
Anyway. 16g's come with a 7cm turbine housing while the 14B has a 6cm housing. And no, you can't port a 6cm housing to the size of a 7cm housing. The 6cm is good for quicker spool but you'll lose top end, compared to the 7cm housing. I would spend the other $100 for a TRUE 16G. This would be a good idea when the cartidges were like $300 but, now it's just not worth it!!
