Alright, Here we go, ive got a 1997 gsx a/t and im kinda stuck on where to go next, ive got a hks super drager catback exhaust which necks down to 2 inches to mate up with stock cat, which sucks(came on the car or i wouldnt have got it, but dont want to get something else cause they sell for like 600 so they must be good), ive got a greddy type s bov on extreme technology upper intercooler piping, and injen intake, k&n conical air filter, vdo boost gauge, and extreme technology manual boost controller, ive looked at all the upgrade paths but i dont really kno what to do next cause they're all different, ive got about 1000 dollars to work with, ne help would be appreciated
 
my suggestion is get a bigger turbo man that t23 on the auto is even smaller then the t25 on the manual cars that every 1 makes fun of. get a big 16g or something along those lines and a fuel pump and go boost crazy man you will SERIOUSLY notice a HUGH difference between the t23 and a big 16g

umm..all 2g got T-25 only 1G auto got smaller (13g) turbos. As for the next mod downpipe + hi-flow cat/ race pipe. Dont get a bigger turbo because you dont have the fuel mods yet. getting a bigger downpipe and cat/pipe will result in much better spool up time when you do upgrade your turbo:thumb: :dsm:

that is exactly what i was going to say. Also go to an exhaust shop and have that 2" neck down expanded to a 2.5".
 
I'm stuck at the same place as you. My next mod will be a 2.5" or 3" RNR O2 eliminator downpipe with internal dump tube and high flow cat. After that I'll be working on my fuel system so that I can finally upgrade my T2small to an SBR-GT10 or AGP SS44 with a ported EVO exhaust manifold. Need to pay my credit cards first though. Just 3 more months.
 
Get your stock exhaust manifold and o2 housing ported, THEN get the downpipe and test pipe/cat combo. Since you've got $1000, do all of that. All of that should be under $400. From there, get yourself into a turbo timer and harness so you can protect your current turbo but more importantly, the upgraded one in the future. Now we're around $500 tops. Get yourself a Walbro 255 high flow fuel pump, S-AFC, and pocketlogger/Palm combo. That should put you around $1000. Once you can afford it get some 660cc injectors, EGT gauge, the new turbo setup of your choice, and a FMIC...be ready to upgrade the clutch shortly after installing these parts cause it will be going soon if it didn't already. Doing all that should make you a happy guy, then lower it, get some new shoes, and get into a shift kit. It never ends...
