Las Vegas,
I saw a t28 upgrade for our DSM's on a website I think it bolts right up to the stock set up. Has anyone heard of this upgarde?

yeah the best way from what i've read is to use the t28 housing and the stock t25 turbine and compresser wheels

Road Race sells the turbo already built for 850.00 w/ exchange. Do u know someone who has one? What is there fastest time w/ that turbo?

The T28 is barely an upgrade, it's like puttin a 14B on your car. If you want easy install and a good (high flow) stock looking turbo get a Big 28 from Forced Performance $750 with your core exchange! Best with that turbo that I've seen so far is 11.82 at 119mph at 21 psi, I think they post that on their site somewhere.

COOL thanx man good thing I didn't buy the t28 yet. And the two turbos r about the same price.

For price/performance I dont think that the T-28 is worth it. It is an upgrade to the compressor wheel on the t-25. It flows a little less than a 16g but with less lag. If you want power with less cash...go with a 14B (First gen Turbo). You can get it for an awesome price and it gives more boost that the stock T2slow.

the big t-28 is supposed to flow as much as a big 16g. It is worth what you pay for it to 750 \w exchange. Sure you can get a 14b for like 200 or so but you need $300 install kit to put it on. I just put on a big 28 and it rocks big time!!! I heard 14bs are good to but with the 28 you can't even tell you swap the turbo unless you look at the blades. It's a good sleeper, no lag, and pulls to 7400 rpm. Well I like mine and it's easy to install so that's my opinon. Later

Some seem to be confusing the regular T-28 with the hybrid Forced Performance Big 28 which flows similar numbers to the Big 16g and more than worth your money. The plain jane T-28 is a T-25 with slighty(barely) larger wheels, and not worth the cash. My Big 28 is about as big as I would like to go on the traction limited GST for the street were slicks aren't legal.

With the big t-28 out i thought the t-28 was almost nonexsitent anymore. What i'm saying is when people refer to the t-28 I assume the it's the big 28 cuz it's the same price as the regular t-28 so why would anyone buy the regular t-28. That's my bad though I forget some of the newbies aren't as familar with some of the different turbos so I'll be more specific next time. Yes the regular t-28 is a waste of money unless you get a really good deal on one or something.

funny that you like that.. i hated it.. everytime i popped the hood.. i heard negative comments about how I have a stock turbo bla bla bla..

btw.. its not a Big T28. its a Big 28.. no T.. you have a T28 and Big28.. to different turbos ;)

I was thinking about getting a Big 28. I like the stock look! I'm thinking of maybe getting the AGP L1R though. It costs a bit more, has a bigger housing and a little more flow.) I like the idea of having a dual ball bearing turbo! :)

Does anybody know when AGP is going to sell the LR1. I was going to get the FPBIG28 unitil I saw this turbo. Hopefully it will spool as quick as the B28. I dont have the supporting mods yet but when I do I dont want to be the first to buy it.

Are any of the big t28's you guys are talking about been bought through forced performance?

Who cares about what others think seems like you are a non assertive person, I mean it all about pleasing yourself and if other don't like it F em'.

i care what others think... hell half the fun in popping your hood is to see people gawk at your setup.. i know im not the only that gets a kick out of it.. and having the Big28 just doesnt look impressive.. but the turbo is kick ass for what it is

Does anyone have the BIG28 on their car? I just want to know other times that were ran with this turbo, other than what the website says.

Me I would rather like the look of stock under the hood, and let everyone laugh at me. Then skool their a@@ on da track that would make them even more mad.

I talk to a guy at a car ralley that had a 98 GSX. He said he put the T28 on because it looks like a T25, and it basically does. Just by eyeballing it you can't really notice a huge difference.
He has lots of mods on his car ( pretty f*cking nice as well ), but overall he wasn't to happy with the turbo. He said he just wants to get a 14B with everything needed for 300 from his friend. The T28 price is also a lil to much as well when you can just get a Super 16G from Hahn or 14B from a First gen. Power per dollar....... its not worth it.

I'm thinking about getting this turbo, but I want to go faster than 13.7 I will be happy with 12.5 to 13.0 that is my goal.
