Hey i was reading people's daily driven boost setting i was very suprised to see some people runing 22 -25 psi. wow thats alot now it maybe be that this is my first turbocharged car, but i cant stop from spooling that turbo. but any way to the point i was wondering if ur settings on your S-afc would destroy your gas milage, becuase mine is around 10-12 mpg, so i was jsut wondering what u guy thought about that. Thanks

You CAN drive teh car without hitting boost, just have a light foot on the gas pedal. If you are constantly running the car into boost range, then yes your gas mileage will suffer. Your AFC settings will help some ont he gas mileage as well. Replace your O2 sensor, as a dead/bad one will really eat up gas.

On the way home from the Shootout, I got 27mpg, with all my tools and a passenger!! And this is with 660cc/Supra TT pump, running base 45psi of fuel.

its as simple as this, boost kills your gas mileage, if you want to get good gas mileage then dont spoil your turbo all the time, you can take it to 5 psi between shifts(just high enough to hear the BOV) and still get decent gas mileage, thats what i usually do

if you spoil to full boost in every gear before you shift your gas will be gone pretty quick, with stock injectors i can kill a quarter tank of gas in about 4 races(running from a stop or slow roll to about 130 mph, at 16 psi)

and your safc settings are probally wrong if your gas mileage is that low, u need change your settings so that your not dumping alot of fuel into your engine untill your actually running it and floor it

The AFC can do amazing things to your mpg on the highway. Couple months ago i went from SF Bay Area, LA, to Las Vegas and made 265 miles on the first full tank to 310 on the second, and there after. I averaged a speed of 70-90.
Of course those were highway miles.
