am i being raked over the red hot coals from heL? i am paying $600.00 for a turbo rebuild. it is a 60 trim mutt. they said thay had to put a "new" center section in, and new oil lines. the center section does NOT have coolant passages. i really believe in these guys, but i have been hosed to many times not to worry. why does it seem like when i get hosed it always has something to do with a TURBO? oh, and don't expect your order to be here when they say. you WILL be dissapointed like i was. that reminds me that i forgot to ask anout a warranty. oh man i am asking for it again! LOL i have to laugh even though i want to explode. :thumb:

That's a fair price. They're not just rebuilding a turbo, they're fixing a MUTT. It's going to cost more than rebuilding a typical tubro.

why is that?

$600 is fair. If you were worried about getting hosed, then you should have called 3 or 4 other places and got quotes.

They just rebuilt my L3R for about 500. It was in pretty rough shape. Price was pretty good just wish it hadnt taken so long.

It's not a rebuilt it's a whole new CHRA. And you're getting new oil feed and drain lines in that price.

Kevin

i am not trying to piss ya kevin, i was just snoppin around to see what others thought of you guys. i did state that the center section was going to be new, and that i was getting new oil lines. although it is nice to see that you keep tabs on this forum, and realise what can happen to a vendors reputation if craftsmanship goes out the window. i am really thankful for sending my turbo to you guys, and look foward to doing more business with you in the NEAR future. can you put together a good turbo for a 13TB? like a big as# mutt? also what does CHRA stand for? thanks, justin:D :dsm:

Ben and Kevin are the very honest as far as vendors go. They do not, nor have they ever screwed a customer over. I know Ben, and consider him a friend. Many others on this board are also on a first name basis with he and Kevin. I dont think they have to prove themselves as a reputable shop anymore. And BTW, CHRA stands for Center Housing Rotating Assembly(I believe).

I have the RS65. What can i say. It's like everythign lese AGP makes. Excellant quality, great service, and they stand by thier products. The turbos are warrentied for a period of one year, I think. As mentioned before, They dont screw anyone. If the failure is due to the turbo itself, they will honor the warrenty. If you run it dry of oil, or let something get sucked in the intake, they will not.:D

I am running a 50 trim setup from AGP on my car. Ben and Kevin run an excellent shop, and answered all my questions very quickly. I've never had a problem getting a hold of them either through E-mail or calling them. I met Ben at the shootout and he was a pretty down to earth guy. I had one minor problem with my order that was quickly fixed by them with every effort possible to make the situation right. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat.

PS. Everyone that has seen my car is amazed that I didnt have to bang the waterpipe in alittle, or do any other ghetto mods to make things fit. I am even running the stock fan on an oversized radiator.

I could not have said it any better myself, got the same setup too :)

i must add something. found out yesterday that my compressor housing had stripped threads. not good. but the good news is that they replaced it for FREE! i did not expect that to happen. they are even sending my old housing back. they said i could helicoil it and it would be ok. now holy sh#t! i have never run into a company like this before. my turbo will be here on thursday, and my car will be on the track by saterday. i am getting a little to excited! i hope i can get my car tuned to the big mutt. LOL i am sure i will. thanks kevin and ben. apg is the ONLY place i will EVER go to anymore for my turbo's.
