Hey i got a 2g maf on my talon n it crap as is n it looks shitty so iwas looking into the gm maf n i was wondering if tis worth the 250+ dollars i mean in know u can tune with it but i have a safc i jsut want it to let me vent to the air, make it easier for intake purchase n for maybe more precise tuning ( but i dont care about that cuz i aint tuning that any idea on a good shop to go to around the tristate area). but i was jsut wondering if its worth it.

yea i now after reading it reliaze it hard to understand so i was just wondering if the gm amf was worth the money

well u knowi did do a search on the "million" gm maf threads n for some odd reason i came up with about 5 or 6 thread that were asking certian questions none of which where any where close to what i wanted to know so quit whineing about it cuz no one asked you to post anything.

Hey, your on a public forum. Any ne can post. No one needs permission. No one needs to be asked to post. And you did ask a question, so people are going to post.

There are a few recent threads about GM MAFs. Why not post on a thread already started. There are alot of people willing to help you out.

And please put some punctuation in your posts. You'll get more replies and answers that way.

hahahahaha sorry that is some serious ownage there. Anyway enough of this pissing contest that you guys are having another thread doesn't need to be locked that could help someone learn something.

Cosby: just like they said there are tons of threads on this and they will answer you question i garuntee. SEarch the whole site not just this forum. Also learn how to use proper grammer and structure your sentances better and you won[t have this problem. When i read your first post i thought you were drunk writing that shit I wasn't just confused i think I turned stupid.

As for your question from what I can make it out to be from your post, you are wondering about the performance gains to price ration or soemthing to that effect right?? I know they said use the search and i was going to link the thread but just go to the search on the main page and type in gm* maf. Then go to the thrid or something post down it has like 957 or so replies even if you only read the first 5 pages, which aint that much when you are trying to learn about something with this much capabilities, you will learn everything you need to know about it. As a matter of fact there was a thread i reaplied to in this forum not even three days ago and i explained alot of it. If you really want someone to spoon feed it to you pm me and i will explain it in better detail but i don't have the time to type it right now i am already late for something. later.

Thank you Zach, see now if only other people could tell me that i would have been much better off than i was with the repilies i was giving at first. And as for the punctuaion im sorry im so used to jsut writing whatever in aim that i dont use it here. thanks

alright children calm down...now back to the question. many would agree with me...although i dont have it setup right now. the flow some have gained is quite extraordinary from what ive read. many are quite happy with the product. for the money, under $40 for a 3" maf, 200 translator, 100 intake pipe from dejon, and 40 or so for filter, or just find one lying around in a honda guy's garage for free.

Crosby: no problem man just trying to help out.

Jake: Do you have all the parts for this and are just waiting to install it or are you going to do this??? I am in the middle of working on buying all the parts for this whole set up, Also are you going to do blow through or draw through?? I plan on doing blow through we should keep each other updated on how it goes with our cars and see how much of a differance it makes between the two set ups. later.

First off, the 3" gm maf is plenty; there's barely room for that, let alone the 3.5" maf.

I got my gm maf and translator about 6 months ago; previously using 660's and safc. I have a pocketlogger and can usually tun very well. If my opinion, I've only been semi-pleased with the product. I spent more than usual, new gm maf - $100, translator -$200, replace 1g bov of greddy type s - $200, dejon upper ic maf piping, intake pipe, and air filter - $300. So $800 dollars for my setup. Yeah it's cool to vent and throttle response has greatly improved, but there hasn't been much power increase, and I've had some idling problems, and lean from 3-5k rpm problems. I just purchased a wideband but think I'm going to go back to the safc to tune, and leave the translator at zero's. I would have rather kept my 2g maf and replaced my big16g with a 50 trim. But oh well... Just my review. Version 2.0 is suppose to come out soon, so maybe I'll have better luck with the new chip.

^^^^^^ let us know abot the new version 2.08 ,
i just boght one friday .......i cant wait.
