i done see why u would want to put a 2g head on any 4g64, a 1g head is bigger inside and will offer more power
and yes, any 7 bolt is just as prone to crankwalk as the next, a 7 bolt 4g64 isnt any different in terms of crankwalk then a 4g63, with all that extra power and torque from the 2.4 bottom end i would think it would be more likely to CW

really? I though they were the same size (1g and 2g heads) but that the 2g has larger stock cams making it better then the 1g head.

exactly, the 1g head has bigger cams, and all the ports in the head are larger then a 2g
as iv heard quite a few people say, the best upgrade for a 2g engine is a 1g head, and the best upgrade for a 2g car is a 1g engine, if you are going as far as building a 4g64 2,4L then u might as well do it the right way the first time and build a 6 bolt

and after u seriously look into it, keep in mind that a magnus stage 4 4g64 longblock is only $4200, its built better then u could possibly build one(espicaly without a machine shop), and it will probally end up being cheaper then building one ursel in the long run
there are plenty of people on this site running magnus 4g64 engines, none of them have any complaints, and magnus warranties their 6 bolt(they only sell 6 bolts) 4g64's against crankwalk

Don't listen to this moron. It's not the number of bolts on the crank that makes the 2g 4g63's to crankwalk, it's the design of the block and the 2g oil squirters. The 7 bolt 4g64 has the same chance to get crankwalk as a 6 bolt 4g63, which is a very, very low chance. Any engine can get crankwalk, there is just a very small chance they will.

Read this NABR thread: 7 bolt 2.4 crankwalked
There has also been word of another case of CWed 2.4 on Talk.

Also, your wrong about thte oil squirters, it may be the most likely and logic cause of CW, but it hasnt been fully proven and how do you know theres not more than one cause of CW in 7-bolts

Try not wrongly inform people in the future, alright?:p
