What would happen if you put the upper and lower intercooler pipes in the wrong inlets on a fmic . What would happen ? What would the car do exactly ? Would you get a CEL ? TIA

if i understand the question right, the pipes wouldnt go to match up on the other side, cause of their bends. they arent bent a certain way to match up from the turbo outlet to one side of the FMIC and from the other side up to the TB.

Ok forget that . My point is, say if a person did custom piping but did the piping for the wrong inlets on the fmic. What would happen ? Example- you make your upper ic pipe coming from the TB that goes in the upper inlet on the fmic , go into the lower fmic inlet by accident.

air would flow through the intercooler the opposite direction, im sure the ic would be made to cool best when flowing the proper direction, but other then that it shouldnt be a problem, its not going to affect how your car runs, and the car isnt supposed to have a fmic anyway, so ur not going to get a CEL
actually u can usually line the uicp up fine, its the lower pipe that wolnt line up, i feel like an idiot saying this but me and my friends sat for 2 hours trying to put a greddy fmic on my friends car, looking at it and trying to figure out how it lines up, all with he pipes switched, we felt pretty dumb after i figured out how it really went together

took me more than 2 hours to do mine but thats another story LOL

Thx fellas

The intercooler doesn't care which way it is hooked up. You can flow air through it any direction and it will work just the same. Build your piping how you want it, it won't change the performance at all.
