Air Flow Related to HP?

Hey guy's, I've been wondering If there is a formula or even a general guess on how much increasing your airflow 1lb/min increases you Horsepower?

On many engines it "can" work out to around 10hp per lb/min, but it's inaccurate since there are quite a few factors involved. It can be calculated more accurately, but you have to take in account the power your fuel makes, the air charge temperature, the air fuel ratio, spark advance, etc. etc. I think the a/f ratio would affect it the most...you can have two cars flowing 24lb/min of air with one at 11:1 a/f ratio and the other at 12.5:1 a/f ratio...the one with 12.5:1 a/f ratio will make more power, usually a significant amount of more power too.

Just thought I'd ask

After I installed my 3" o2 eliminator exhaust I only gained 2lbs/min air at the top of 3rd, this didn't seem like much to me....
