I'm looking at buying a 95 GSX (or the shell thereof), but the CW problems are scaring me a little. My question is about 1G swaps. I know they're possible but a PITA to do. From what I've seen on RRE's website they used a mix of 1 & 2G parts, Has any one ever done it with a complete 1G GSX longblock and ECM (ECU). I'm thinking that would negate the need for modifiying any other parts (other than that 1 motor mount). I searched but I can't seen to come up with the right combo of words b/c I get no results. TIA. And sorry for being such a PITA.

Cliffs notes: Swap a complete 1G engine into a 2G, any problems or modifications needed in the swap.

Thanks, I looked at that page but didn't hink to look at all of it. I thought it was gonnna show how to modify the cranksensor. That seems like a lot less trouble. Thank you thank you thank you. With any luck you'll see a lot more of me in the next few months. :D

Getting the front case modified is going to be your biggest problem. RRE sells the modified for 400 plus your core.
