Four holes in a 1g bov

Ok I hope some one can answer this. I got my first gen bov on. I made my own adpt. plate because im cheap/poor right now. On the bottom of the bov where it blows in to dump what is the pin hole for? I grinded the plate nicely to channel it to the tube but I still dont know what it does.

Any help?

Also since I put this on it sounds like my turbo has gotten higher pitch? That doesnt make sence, I get 15lbs as opposed to my old bov that olny held 11lbs! Mad a great difference.

How did you make the adaptor plate for the uic pipe? I have a 2g and am going to switch over to a 1g bov shortly.

I took some pipe stock (dont recall the exact size) cut out a plate and welded them together! Layed a bead around the bottom of the pipe after it was cut to length to hold it in place, grinded out a channel for the little hole and BAMN saved my self 30-60 bucks! Yesterday I found out Dave Brode sells on for like $30 if I remember right. Thats a good price but I couldnt sell spending 60-70 on a piece i can make in an hour!

Hhmmm, looks like i'l have to find the $30 adaptor, cause I sure has heck can't weld. thanks though
