i just finished building my 1g 7 bolt and i have read a few posts about 1g 7 bolt motors walking and wanted to know how much difference there is between the motors. I think the bearing caps are bigger on the 6 bolt, but if both motors are build the same way eagle rods ross pistons ect, is there any other differences. I guess what i am tring to say is i have invested alot of time and money into this car and don't want to have to do this again for awhile because of the motor walking.
Any input word be great thanks.

the main difference between the 6 bolt 1g and the 7 bolt 1g engines are that the 7 bolt has narrower rod journals and a narrower crank journal, and obviously the fact that one has a 6 bolt crank and the other a 7 bolt crank
crankwalk isnt very common in 1g 7 bolts, but sometimes it happenes, people have crankwalked 6 bolts too, its not like 1g 7 bolts CW very easily like 2g 7 bolts do, but they arent quite as strong as a 6 bolt
u shouldnt have anything to worry about, but of u are that concerned with crankwalk y did u build ur 7 bolt instead of building a 6 bolt and swaping that into ur car?
