How do my plugs look?! Running rich?

They have about 8K miles on them. NGK BPR6es. Does it look like I'm running rich? I'm running stock fuel system. No oil on them :) Did a compression test too. 169, 170, 164, 168.

Just switched them with 7es and some new NGK wires.

those look about perfect. i think you may be running a little rich in your lower rpms at part throttle but your cleaning them up under boost.

Basically if they are a little bit white on the ends that indicates a decent a/f ratio. Too white or too dark is no good (lean/rich), but it's not something to tune the car by...

The wideband O2 readout I got last weekend indicated I was running incredibly rich-- off the chart. Less than 10:1, but my plugs look about like the ones in the picture. I'm confused.

From what I understand, in order to accurately read plugs you have to immidately kill the engine after your run. If you keep driving they will change and you wont get an accurate reading. Its better to use a wideband to monitor o2, or use a datalogger to watch knock and timing.

Bla, I switched to 7s and they came out black as hell, stick with the 6s unless ur running more then 16-17 psi... :|

He is right about shutting it off before then clean themselves. From what I heard you want a nice light moca chocolate look to them

same here, black as hell and wet.( unburnt fuel) I could barely get the car to start with the 7es
then i swapped in the6es and it startred right up and ran fine.

Yea the plugs look fine. And the compression is great also make sure you do the compression test on a hot engine. A cold engine will read slightly lower #s.
If you are really worried about your A/F ratio a EGT gauge with a TRE probe is cheeper than the wideband I beleive but the wide band is more accurate.
