Columbus,
I decided to start a new thread on this to ask my specific question. I made a 4AN hose to take off the return line on my Aeromotive to drain the gas at the track but it took a long time. Someone posted since I have AN lines, I could just take it off the end of the fuel rail before the regulator and it would just come pouring out which made sense to me. The problem is that the car will not start like this without the regulator connected. Did I miss something here or get wrong information? I guess I could keep turning it over because the gas comes out pretty fast but I didn't know how good that would be for the car.

Worse on the starter than any other part, but not good for any of them. Run a jumper switch to the fuel pump.

I really don't like the idea of a "drain" in the engine compartment, either. Despite how irritating it is to have to deal with cold gasoline out in the elements.
