Just got my used 4g63 thats been sitting for 2 years!

I just got a used 7-bolt motor put in by a local shop here in town!They told me that the motor has been sitting for 2 years ,and it will be smoking for the first couple days,is this normal?is there like a break in period or anything?the motor had 120 000 kms on it.

Why didnt you go 6 bolt?

Yeah, it could smoke a bit and it could leak some oil. The rings may be a little stuck and various seals may be dried out.

One thing for sure is that all the bearing surfaces will be dry as hell. Were I you, I'd get a pre-oiler (a place called ATK-Engines makes a dandy one (http://www.atk-engines.com/graphics/tools.gif).
I'd want to get some oil in there before the engine starts rotating very much.

Why didnt you go 6 bolt?

My mechanic couldnt find one!And he was like there is a guy here who has a 7-bolt and hes running 11s with it.So i was like #### it i'll just get it.

My oil is pressure is really low when in idle but the engine is running normal,is this okay?its smoking quite a bit too when in idle!
