First off yes I did a search. I need a new crank since my current one needs to be turned and the shop that turns cranks is 6 weeks behind. I'm moving in 4 weeks so the time line on me getting this motor back together are'nt meshing.

Onto my problem. I need a six bolt crank so I asked a few local guys and one guy has a six bolt crank that has been polished and is in good shape. The kicker is its out of an Automatic six bolt, I'm doing a manual. He meantioned something about some spacers needing to be taken off in order to work. I assume its toward the side where the flywheel would have been. Can someone give me some insight on what he is talking about and if its hard to complete. If the spacer he is talking about is bolted up like the flywheel no biggie I can just take the bolts off and I'm good to go. Any help that would shed some light would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

There is absolutely no difference between a manual and auto 6 bolt crank. :)

The only thing that's different is there's a ring/spacer that goes in the central "hole" of the crank on the flywheel side. It slides out very easily once you have the silly automatic flexplate off.
