Ok i just got my egt gauge in and i was wondering how i should hook up the power to the gauge. Where do i wire it? Can i just tap into the cigarette lighter or find something else?

tap it into ur dash guage cluster, same as u would with any other guages, so the light turns on and off with the parking lights like all the other lights in ur dash, its not like the guage needs power(assuming its mechanical), its just for the light

Obviously you don't even have EGT gauge so why are you giving advice?

Either run power from battery and have a switch in between (easiest way for clueless) or if you have service manual with diagrams tap ignition signal wire. For gauge's light you can use a wire that goes to cig lighter bulb.

Thanks AutronicDSM, atleast some one is on the right page as me. Ok as far as an ignition wire goes isn't there one going to the radio? I'm still thinking of tapping into the cigarette lighter but i also have my radar detector tapped into that also. Will the 2 work or will it blow a fuse?

Yup. There is power wire going to stereo, use a voltmeter to see which one it is. Most likely it's red. I removed my stereo and wiring so I don't remember now.

I'm not sure about fuse but it's possible that you might blow one.

Use the stereo cable. I wired my stereo power straight from my battery, and I'm running 3 Greddy Electric gauges off it now.

The cigarette lighter light makes a good source for toggling the lights themselves when they go on/off. Better than the tail lights, which is where most people end up going.

if you're gonna use the stereo power wire, make sure u dont use the memory (constant) power wire or you'll have ur guage on all the time (even when ur car is off...) use the ignition/switch cable (or varible) don't use the remote wire (usually blue) or you're gauge will only be on when u have your stereo on...

i just tapped the 4 wires going to the cigarette lighter. 2 for light, 2 for power. i have the boost and egt pulling from the light wires. if you still have questions, i could take a picture and post that up if you like
