Stock PSI on 1g

Whats the stock PSI on a 1st generation eclipse gst? when i bougt mine the guy had it set 4psi!!!! i think thats lower than stock. not sure. its still at 4psi unless i fix my car up more and get new boost controller. why is it at 4psi if thats lower? its all stock right now.. how can i turn it up without adding any parts right now?????

-OEM waste gate open at ~10 psi. try to compare the vacumn hose of you car vs the diagram sticker underside of the hood.

-You're right, it's not 10, it's 76.7kPa(m/t) & 72.0 kPa(auto), that mean 11.1 psi(m/t) & 10.4 psi(auto).

is there any reason my car is running only 4 psi everything being stock? im not sure how he turned it down. or why. 11 sounds very high for stock.

-Check for vacumn leak, might be the waste gate area have worn out, leaking exhaust.

how would i fix that? i dont think its a vacuun leak because then my bov wouldnt go off correctly. i think it might be the wastegate like u said. ill check that. i make the bar that connects to waste gate shorter to tighten it right?

-No, I'm talking about this , look at the 4th & 5th photo, exhaust gas wear out that hole, the waste gate(flap) can seal it to build pressure, need to remove the O2 housing to check this, or build a leak tester and listen for air leak.

It's definately 11.1 psi stock, for whoever doubts it.

damn thats high as hell for the pressure. i thought i was 8. thats what all my friends said and there big into imports and shtuff.

-This is a factory turboed car, not a turbo kitted car.
