T4 turbo pictures

A couple of months ago in a now closed thread I was asked to post some pictures of my T4 turbo setup. Sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum. Anyway the majority of the plumbing work has been done, and the picture will show how it is progressing.

This is a 2.3L stroker motor with plenty of internal mods. The intake is home made. The intercooler (not seen in the pic) is the new Victory preformance 1G core and endtanks. The 4" turbo inlet pipe, and all I/C piping is custom, (the TiAL BOV has not been mounted yet). Exhust header, waste gate dump, and downpipe, are also custom fabricated. The waste gate dump has a screemer added, and the turbo dump exits just aft of the engine bay. I/C pipe welding and fitting, exhaust header work, waste gate dump, turbo dump,and turbo inlet pipe were all done by Payn technoliges, in Troy Michigan. I highly reccomend thier work, as it is done in a reasonable time frame at an afordable price. The picture will speak for the quality of thier work.

I hope this helps some others out there with similar projects.

I hope to have it on the dyno in September or October.

Cost for the whole car bumper to bumper? Or just costs for the turbo, piping, intercooler, motor, ect.?

yeh...looks sweet. good work. but why are you still running stock radiator...and also with that header...are you going to wrap it in exhaust wrap? Cause I recently saw a guy with a similar header without the external dumps and he was having problems cause the header would get soo hot and melt stuff under the hood...not to mention cause the car to overheat.

wouldnt a nice ceramic coating solve that problem? how come no one ever uses it?

A aftermarket aluminum radiator will be installed, along with twin pusher fans. The stock radiator is in place to use as a reference for fit of certain pieces. Moving pipe, flanges, and tubing in and out of the engine bay has a negitive effect on the radiator fins, I have found.

Ceramic coating is an option, although I have not decided on that yet. I am concidering coating the turbine housing. Also thinking about having the I.D. of the header coated by swain preformance coatings.

Cost I will have to do a little number crunching on that one, I will need a day or so to get a figure together.

The throttle body is a BBK 3" don't say this too loud but it is a mustang part. I can feel it now so go ahead.

Bumper to bumper cost!

Based on the cost of what has already been done, and what is left to complete, and pay for. My estimated cost from buying the car and completeing it will be in the $25,000 to $30,000
