Hi ya,
Working on getting all the parts together for a completely new setup for the mirage (all components are 1990 dsm FWD equivalent). Currently it's running a stock 4G63, small 16G, FMIC, etc. and @ the shootout it dynoed @ 250 WHP at only 13 psi. (bad WG actuator) However, a couple of cylanders are down on compression, so I'm going fresh. I'm starting to order all the parts for the fresh setup. I'm just looking for any opinions..like, "perhaps, you would be better off buying..." or "You really dont need the .... at all" or "you completlely for got about needing a.....". So, here is what I'm looking at:
~ fresh 6 bolt w/new stock everything, 7.8:1, rings, high vol. oil pump, b/s elim, balance, deck, hot tank, bore (if needed), all fresh gaskets, etc.
~ Fresh head w/ 3 angle job, new seals, recondition valves, deck, HD springs, titanium retainers, HKS 272/272 (not sure- it's a daily driver), adj cam gears.
~ Internally gated AGP RS49 or RS60, I can't quite decide. If I'm being reasonable and practical, the RS49. If I'm trying to pop my hood and look cool in front of everyone, the RS60
~ 2G ported ex. manifold
~ NPR FMIC (what I've got on it now)
~ 2.5" IC piping (I'll make it)
~ 3" (or 4")intake (I'll make it)
~ 2.5" O2 elim DP w/ 3" straight pipe (what I've got on it now, I can't run a 3" DP, or there is no room for the IC piping, it's real tight)
~ 3" GM maf/ MAFT (what I've got on it now)
~ 255 HP, 660's, and AFPR (Is charged air dead or what? The bolt on AFPR is still on their site)
~ stock 1G intake manifold & TB.
~ 2 stage MBC (what I've got on it now)
~ I have a CFDF clutch now, and am happy with it, think I'll go with a fresh one.
~ lightened stock fly.
~ then, there's the trans...mumble mumble
