My Chilton's does not cover RED spark plugs.

I changed plugs today and found that the plugs that were in my car looked very interesting. They had a a little carbon build up on the "rim", and both the electrode and...uh..."arm"(I'm a moron) were both a nice shade of red.

I know I'm running quite rich, is this because of that? I just figured if I was too richthe plugs would be solid black, not red. They were physically in good condition though(I.E. no corroding, missing pieces or chips.)

Are you using some kind of fuel inj. cleaner, octane booster, fuel additive,etc.?

Come to think of it, I DID just put in some Fuel Inj. cleaner yesterday. I had no idea it would affect the spark plugs like that.

yeah any kind of inj cleaner or additives in gas can cause redness, its not really a big deal, its just what it does, it will go back to normal after running a while

Not unless I use my Level12 Paladin to....I have no idea what I'm talking about.

There's probably not much point in trying to read plugs anymore, other than for oil. No one under 30 has ever smelled real gasoline anyway, god knows what kind of show that crap is going to leave on your porcelain when you burn it.
