i just recently replaced the throttle body on my 98 gsx cause it was leaking at the shaft. cause: bad o ring. the reason i didnt rebuild it is cause i tried to but stripped the crap outta the screws that hold on the throttle plate. so i bought a used one off of a 98 gst from a user on this board. the tb had 40k miles on it. i recieved it installed it and did a leak test. it was fine and my car felt like a totally different car. no more boost hesitstions. so here i am three weeks later and guess what? yea more boost hesitation. so i do the leak test again. well needless to say its the same thing the oring went bad on this one now and it leaks from the throttle shaft where the throttle cable connects. same damn thing happened. my question is, is there a reason or just a freak thing? im only running 15 psi on the t25. anyway my tb had 50k miles on it when the oring went bad and this one had a little over 40k miles on it when the o ring went bad. now im gonna rebuild this one. anyone have any idea y this happened? or u think it was just a freak thing?
