ok, so i know that a cooler car runs better and lasts longer. But isn't the Fluidyne alot bigger than the stock one? If so, can you use the stock fans or is there not enough clearance? If there isn't, which fans would i use?

sorry for all the questions, but i'm interested in this stuff, and you guys all seem to know the most. :thumb:

unless you do some hardcore racing a Fluidyne isn't worth the extra money. If you are worried about having to buy slim line fans, you dont need it, Spal fanand TFAL fans are best. In order to utilize it fully you would also need to get a new cooler thermostat. Just remember , in order for the motor to produce maximum power it HAS to reach proper operating temp.

there are no negatives about the fluidyne except possibly the price. i can run my car with no fan and it still doesnt overheat. plus its beautiful.

My car does overheat so I am getting one. I can't think of any negatives

This is the reason I chose a slim aluminum rad with slim spals from IRC:thumb: I also run a permacool adjustable fan control with screw in thermo sensor. You can select any temp you wish to engage the fans. Because its wired directly to the battery the fans will run until the coolant drops below the trigger temp, even once the car has shut down.

Space can be limited between the turbo piping and fans depending on your setup. You may find that a slim rad is more then adequate for your needs. this is an example of why i chose a slim aluminum rad and fans

Its current, i went with a PTE 50 trim with t76 turbine. Same o2 and mani i have always had. Im seriously looking for a nice heat shield if you come across any let me know. For some reason my PTE housing was not threaded, so i had to use different bolts

Im very happy with my Fluidyne radiator. Bought it when my stock one got a leak at the seam. This one is nice looking, fits perfect and works great with stock fans. You may want to get new upper and lower radiator hoses and a new better radiator cap as the fluidyne doesnt come with those. Great product!
