Well I know what parts I need. But I dont know what brands are good what arent. I am planning the mods to my 91 GSX which will be done over the next year. So I will be doing small things at a time.
the car has 140k miles on it. i plan on upgrading just about everything on the engine and putting on a new oil pump and some other things.
What my goal is to achieve is a nice street car. These are the parts I plan on getting and some stuff I plan on having done.
Exhaust/ muffler down pipe cat etc. (thinking of just getting a full 3" kit)
BOV (has 1G crushed BOV plan on changing)
Intake (already on)
Gauges (already have them)
Boost controller (has mechanical one plan on going to an electronic one)
ECU upgrade AEM greddy haltech motech etc.
Fuel pump/injectors.
Clutch (thinking of the ACT 2600 but is there better for a street car?)
FMIC kit
Upgraded turbo wastegate manifold (will be done at the same time probably) something that will spool little faster but still have the power there for me when i need it.
Coilovers
Big brake kit
All upgraded bushings (does anybody make a full kit for the 91 gsx?)
Headwork (polished ported new valves springs whole caboodle)
Seats and seatbelts (probably going with the nice sparcos)
Yes Ive read vfaq. dont really suggest what parts to get just shows how to install them and stuff so Im looking for a DSM pro that could help me turn this into a nice street car.
Looking to spend about 10+ grand on everything
This will be monthly/weekly upgrades. Also id like to know what ones to do first throughout the time. Like buy the exhaust before I get the bigger turbo and stuff like that that i might not know since this is my first DSM. And first turbocharged car.
Im going to be making a wish list I guess you could call it. On what parts to get and what to upgrade first-last. So basically I need help doing that.
And ive already got a guy lined up thats going to tune it all for me. Will be taking it down by him after I get some minor upgrades then later on when I get more and so on. (Frequent visits!!)
And this car will be my daily driver car !! so it needs to be reliable and somewhat efficent
