I am wondering what would be the best intercooler for my car? I have heard that opposite side endtanks are the best, opposed to endtanks on the same side....... because it allows for more flow through the core of the intercooler. What brand is the best? Hahn, Greddy, Apexi, Spearco....?? Also, I work at a place that installs and repairs refrigeration systems on truck, vans, etc..... and many times, I work on big trucks with gigantic turbos, and even more gigantic intercoolers!!! There is a posibility that I can get an intercooler off of one of the trucks that we are going to be junking. It is about the same size as the greddy, only a little bit taller. All I would need to do is to get custom piping. Does this sound like a good idea? Any and all feedback would be great.

like every other question it depends on ur set up, ur goals, and ur planed upgraded in the near future, if ur going to keep ur t25 and arent looking to make alot of power then get a small IC and save ur money, if ur looking to make 450whp then u need something big
but i can tell u one thing, get the greddy big front mount or some huge IC off a truck and u will need an upgraded radiator, the greddy completly covers the stock radiator and blocks almost all airflow to it, this means its cant do its job properly and ur engine temps will raise considerably, u will lose more power from pressure drop caused by that extra heat then u will gain from the FMIC
so with that said the $1000+ price tag of the greddy goes up to around $1500 after u buy a fluidine radiator to go with it, so asses ur goals and decide if u want to spend 2k on ur front end for an IC, radiator, fans, raiator hoses, ect. or if u just want an inexpensive fmic that will do its job with ur small stock turbo

The Greddy large should be perfectly fine on the stock cooling system for daily driving and drag racing.

Agreed! I'm using the big GReddy fmic with no over heating problems at all, even with the AC running full blast in 85 to 90 degree heat, along with 70 to 80% humidity.

i say the air to water is the COOLEst and the best one for cooling wise.but that is just my 02...

yea, liquid to air is the best, but unless ur drag racing at the track its kinda pointless, having to change the ice oir dry ice in ur IC every hour or 2 is no good for the street
and u may think the greddy big fmic is working fine but in reality ur losing power from pressure drop, get a radiator and a bottle of water wetter and see how much of a difference it makes, i know someone who said the same thing, my car runs fine with the greddy and doesnt over heat, but my other friend running the same set up except he has a fluidine radiator and runs 2 psi less boost spanks him every time they race, get an upgraded radiator and change all that hot air ur turbo is blowing into iur engine into cold air and u will be amazed at the results
