I used it in the stock position.
Base = 4
Idle= 4
Mid= f
Wot= 0
All I have to say is WOW.
Regular setup my 50trim wouldn't start positive boost till 3000 and then it would hit 20psi by 4000 in third gear.
Now it starts at 2600 and 20psi at 3400 in third gear.
This thing really works.
I still have my SAFC hooked up. I started with it zeroed out on the LO and HI settings. After do some runs and letting the ECU learn its new mate, I did use the LO settings to get my STFT to be at 0 up to 4000. Funny with the MAS setup it was like -14 for low settings now with the MAFT it is +16.

It idle's smooth it runs quicker in the 2500-4000 rpm range. Prolly cause it's getting boost down there now. Before I had to run it up into the 3500-5000rpm range to shift. NOw I can run lower rpms and still feel it pull.
It really pulls hard, I can hear the turbo spool louder.

Next thursday we'll see if it helps.
I did a run from 2500 to 7400 in third
My O2 were 98-100%
My Timing - from 2500-3500 started at 31 and dropped to 14 at 4000 it went to 11 at 4500 it started to rise by 5000- 12, 5500-14,6000-17,1700-18, 7400-19.
I'm happy with that. I will do a few other runs before I get to the track.
I think it's a great piece.

Exactly the results I wanted to hear. Everybody seems to be putting these on smaller turbos and not noticing much of a difference (in power and spoolup). It will be nice having full boost by 3400 when I get mine. :)

The filter is a Apexi power intake mounted to a Home Depot sewer coupling. I have a homemade heatshield around the filter. The 3" intake pipe I got off of Ebay. The Maf is 3.5" with ramcharger 3.5-3.0 reducer coupling.

thanks :D

You can get those at True Value. or probly any hardware store. They should be located around the PVC pipes/washing machine hoses.

If indeed you do have a APEXi power intake then what you need is;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33695&item=2420016731

to mount to the APEXi filter mounting housing. Then you get from Home Depot, or equivalent store, from the sewer piping dept a 3-4 inch black reducer coupling. The 3" side goes on the intake pipe and the 4" side goes to the typhoon mafs adaptor. IT's a perfect tight fit.

Holy shit total cost about $285

what about setting up the translator on the upper ic pipe. after the bov and before the throttle body. thats what i have been wondering. thats how i want to set it up when i get mine. if i get mine

Im wondering the same thing, I plan on running it this way, will taht also decrease spoolup time? I will be running a straight 3" intake pipe with nothing in it, just a straight pipe.

but the restriction (the little bit there is) is still there, its just instead of pulling the air through, youre pushing it. I have it on my car and i love it, when intercooler pipes blow off the car still runs (slow as hell but it runs)

Well I'm just not ready to cut up my nice Victory Performance polished SS UICP just to hear my BOV louder. After I take it to the track for some #'s maybe I will. I'm using a 3.5" maf so I don't think I have much of a restriction.

However sad it is, I have alot of first hand experience with this. I used Fernco connectors as a temporary fix. One exploded (sounded like a gunshot) within 1/2 a day. Now I am using those NAPA nitrile 3-2.5 fittings. Love em.

Lookin great 44. This is great news. I'll be grabbing up a 50 soon!!!! Should spool great.
