sorry for the newb question but i'm getting a bit confused on this...

are AGP turbos straight bolt on for a 2G or do they require a kit.... i read a comment somewhere that led me to believe they weren't a straight bolt on but i can't figure it out from the AGP site -- it just says 1G oil drain fits perfectly. thanks....

Yes, they are a bolt on, and if your IC piping is setup for a 20g, you'll be able to install it with very little effort.

Also, for the L2R.... you should have an upgraded fuel system, fmic and other supporting mods....

which AGP turbo were you considering?

L1R :) and i understand about upgrading the fuel system along with the turbo already got an EPROM ready for DSMLink, will need to pick up 660's and a supra pump, hopefully by that time frickin spoolinup will have their FPR for the 2G ready, and was considering an HRC FMIC. so the IC piping should be set up for a 20G does that mean i'll need a J-pipe and all that stuff that you would need in a 16G/Big16G/20G install kit for my 2G? i would also rather run an internal gate if possible.. i wonder if this is doable on the L1R. in comparison i know 20Gs run fine with an internal gate although some people run externals with them....

First off, I'd advoid a supra pump, as the base PSI is extreme, save yourself the trouble and get a denso, or a walbro (if you can putup with the noise). As far as the FMICs go, I'd suggest an "Indy Race Core" from Ken, from what I've seen, they work great.

The outlet is fine, long as you get a IC kit for a 20g.... n "jpipe" required. AGP does state that an internal gate is available for a L1R or L2R... check out www.agpturbo.com for details (god I sound like an add...)

Rob you are the poster boy for AGP. :D Kevin and Ben have been good to me as well. I ordered my turbo earlier this week.

You gotta stick up for the guys in your DSM club. Kevin and Ben are cool guys and have helped me out before.

"Hi... my name is Rob, my car is a crack-addict (crack = c16)."
"with the support of AGP, my car gets to go fast while enjoying its crack supply"

..... or something like that (isn't that what a poster child is all about?)

Anyhow!!!!! Kevin and Ben have taken care of me big time.... My car was running solid 14's less then a year ago (durring the winter).

After starting to do business with Kevin and Ben, my car now runs constant 12s..... fastest yet being a 12.09 at 119. I'm convinced there is still a lot of life left in this setup. I do plan on running 11's, then dropping in a 6 bolt, a cage and a vpc (or other speed-density system, I just wanna get rid of the MAS). .... then on to running 11's consistantly

I've been amazed with the support that I've gotten from AGP. It rivals RRE's support -- but they actually answer the phone :p (RRE kicks ass... but anyone who has tried to get ahold of them knows what I'm talking about)

Anyhow, I am not one to kiss people's asses..... and I'm not getting anything out of giving AGP a review. But I do like to speek highly of people who take care of me, and there other customers. That is why I will suggest AGP to just about anyone who asks "where should i get a new hairdryer"

Does Ken make 2G street core kits? Are there any pictures of the 'street' core mounted on a 97-99 eclipse?

i have seen pictures of the big a$$ race core, very sweet.. but wondering if that's not overkill

best thing to do is email ken :) i'm pretty sure he's on this board... kentsiii if I remember correctly.

Rob, I disagree with this. A pump does not output a pressure, it outputs a volume. Fuel pressure is controlled solely by the FPR. The question is, will the FPR be able to pass enough volume to keep the pressure at reasonable levels? Even a Walboro can overrun a stock 2G FPR, the guy already said he is ditching that anyway. If you have a proper AFPR you can run as big a pump as you would like, you will not run rich and you will not have your fuel pressure too high. It's simply how these devices work. The Spoolinup unit should be able to get a Supra pump down into the 20psi range if you so desire.

??? Nothing I haven't seen before. Can you elaborate on that link?

RRE is showing us the volume the pump is capable of producing at different voltages, first at base pressure (43ish) and then with 15psi of boost (58ish). This is because what a fuel pump flows at base pressure isn't nearly as important as what it flows under full boost (which RRE, I guess, is assuming is 15psi).

But like I said, with almost any aftermarket AFPR you can run any pump you want and not be rich or have too much pressure. If you disagree you don't know how an AFPR works.

They looked real good. I would post them but geocities doesnt give me much bandwidth.. so they would be locked in no time. If you want to keep them on your server for a while feel free to post them, otherwise I have to move them somewhere else first.

Hey Wes, I'm just waiting for your phone call. You know you want one, I know you want one, lets just get cut to the chase and you tell me L3R or L4R. ;)
