cams and camgear

I'm gonna install some cams and WebCams 264/272, and camgears/sprocket.( they r not on the engine)
do I have to put it in a special degree before instaling the camgears.
after installing them how should i tune them?

should just tune it like normal, it is just going to change how much fuel you need so log it and adjust until you are running perfect again

i was wondering about cam gears with the cams, people say you must degree the cam with the gears to run right, any input on that? what are the effects if its not degreed properly
