a few JDM swap questions.

Hello All,
engine is in, all 5 speed parts installed, and this is where i am at.

I need to put in the axles, the xcase, then plug everything in, jump the wire for the starter, and fill fluids up, and im done,

my guestion is, i was told i can use the oil cooler from the GVR4, the external radiator type, is this true,.
and, i have every other thing worked out, except the cyclone, i need a pin diagram for the jdm ecu, so i can direct wire it, thanks.

Yes you can use the external coller however if they did to your motor what they did to mine they plasma torced everything, and cut an twisted the oil lines coming off the oil filter housing rendering it useless.I just changed ti out with the stock water cooled housing. It was easire in my opinion

eh, i got the complete clip, so it was all in tact, tell me, did you use the cyclone?

what do you need JDM ecu pins for? they're all pretty much the same. Im using the cyclone manifold - i hooked the vaccuator directly to manifold vaccume... works like a champ.... i would like to delay the boost to the vaccume actuator to about 7 psi tho...

any other problems? ive done this swap a time or two...

Put an MBC on the line to the actuator.

cool cool,
all i have left to do in my swap is,
xcase install
put in drivers axle,
and the automatic axles work perfect btw.,

put on powersteering pump and alternator,
plug everything in, and put in radiator, and put it all fluids,
also, the JDM tranny, my shifter doesnt reach out far enough, will it adjust enoung to correct the problem,?

how do you test an intercooler to see if its still sealed if it got poled

MY self presonally I didn't use the cyclone because I didn't have the ecu and didn't want to jerry rig it, so I just used my old manifold and took it from there.I personally didn't see any benefits to useing that manifold.But that is just my opinion.No insult meant to any one who dose use it.
