Hey guys, I got my new turboback yesterday and only had 1 problem... there was no place to put the 2nd O2 sensor, well.... Ive searched and searched and the only option I could come up with was to eliminate it... so I did... well, it seemed ok besides the CEL and running really rich, but I have compensated with my afc...well... it seemed fine last night on my test runs, but this morning, on my way to work i got to a red light and the idle was at like 300 rpms and kept wanting to die.. any time i come to a stop it either tries to die or does die..... that part i can kinda live with, it is the loud knock that i am hearing when the rpms are at about 1000-1500... it is a loud bad sounding knock.. not a tick... :( can someone help me out here??? Im scared!!! help!

you could always take it off and get a exhuast shop to drill and put in a bung, check the fuel computer setting, you only have 8 points the rest of the fuel curve is interpolated, see if you can tune it out

Check out VFAQ.com. They have an wiring diagram that allows you to eleminate the second 02 sensor and that will take care of all your problems. If you don't follow the diagram you should be able to bring it to radio shack and they could help you get the right parts.

Yes, re-connect the o2 sensor, and put it under the driver's seat... this will take care of the problem

W/O the sensor, the ECU goes into "safe mode" which sucks for driving.

I've had my o2 sensor under my driver's seat for a year, no problems since. Although I would suggest you wrap the sensor in something non-flamable, just incase the heater in the o2 sensor gets too warm.

some of us Honda guys use a small hose clamp and wrap the O2 in tin foil, reinstall it into the exhaust and this fixes obd2 Cel's. (I know this really doesnt pertain to this situation just a little FYI for the guys that have cel probs)
