Hello guys I need some help here, the transmission on my 1G AWD talon is cracked at the clutch housing and I have found a used mitsubishi transmission (complete with transfer case) for 200 bucks. But it is from a JDM misubishi Libero AWD. It seems to be the same but I can't be exactly sure. The serial Nº on the Libero gearbox is:

W5N312RRTE
UK3419

If any of you know something about this, help me out.
Thanx

definitley will cause the center diff to break if you try to use it. If the bellhousing is identical you can just swap that and use your old internals and be ok.

not actually the center diff but the viscous coupler....the front and rear tires have to spin at the exact same speeds. If they spin at different speed, for instane when yuou launch and the front spins but the rear do not, the VC fluid heats up and locks the front and back together.

If they are spinning at different speeds.....for onstance your tranny does not match your rear end....it keeps heating uop the vc while you drive till its burnt to a crisp.

All JDM trannys that work are either C51PH or have the letters NQ in them.
