Im almost through with my fuel system upgrade and I cant decide which one to get. I need one that will handle the flow off the walbro 255 and 25 psi max. Which ones are you guys using or recommend?? I would prefer one with -6AN ends. Thanks in advance.

Most of them will handle that flow. There are other things to consider though. How fine of a particle will it filter? How much surface area on the filter? The surface area is important because that will determine how much crap has to be caught in it before it starts restricting flow.

FWIW, I put a Paxton filter on mine:

Here is what it looks like installed:

You have to get a -10 to -6 adapter, but thats pretty minor. It filters very small particles, uses fairly inexpensive paper filters, and has lots of filter surface area.
I put it on a year ago, no problems with clogging yet. I have heard guys with the little K&N filters complain about clogging pretty often. The Paxton filter is also sold as an Aeromotive filter, and an SX filter as well, they are just different colors.

I have an Aeromotive, which is almost identical to the Paxton, and it is what I would suggest.

They are about 100 dollars, and you can get them at Jegs and Summit.

I was just looking at those yesterday:D

P/N12301

Note 2000 lbs/hr.

160lbs an hour is about 1700cc's

It will flow even more than I'll need.

The biggest thing.

Two words. Banjo Bolts.

They are pretty low flow.

The factory filter and pressure reg are the two weak links.

So how hard is it to change the fuel filter on a 2G GST? I was going to have the mitsu tech change it in about 3,000 mile when I get my 60K tuneup. If it's not to hard I might try it first myself...

It's not so much hard as it is irritating and at times frustrating. I did mine, and I'm no mechanic by a long shot. Just find a VFAQ or consult your shop manual, if you have one. Use lots of PB Blaster on the top and bottom bolts to help loosen them!

Oh, and regarding the aftermarket fuel filters-- has anybody else had trouble with the Earl's filter? I tried it and it seemed to restrict flow dramatically. I haven't opened it up to see if it's clogged or something, but after I put the stocker back on with a -6AN adapter screwed into the top of it, things are peachy.

All go no show. Just mount somewhere hidden but accessable

Yes you know me I'm looking at the single 3/4" in and out. The single(plugs)/dual 1/2" is stocked by summit and jegs. ~$30

I was told by a fuel pump MFG that the small diameter body (aeromotive) filters are good secondaries just before the injectors or primaries on a race only car or anything with relitively frequent element changes.

A street driven car needs more filter element capacity so it can go longer between changes.

The water seperator is a plus. You don't want any water in any gas fuel or fuel with gas in it as it does'nt mix evenly.

I found something cheaper and more effective for the street. I thought I'd share to safe ppl some $.
