Anyone have any experience with these short shifters?

They suck. Biggest POS ever. I have one. You don't want one. Get a B&M.

DOH!! I should read more carefully next time. ;) B&M doesn't make one but I still don't recommend to OBX one.

Probably just a typo but go here: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/instructions/bm-shortshifterinstructions.htm

It says the B&M shifter if for 95-99 eclipse and 95-97 talons, I have a 98 talon, Did they change somethin in the 98 talons.

I think they probly just dont know there is a such thing as a 98 talon becuase I didnt know they made them past 97 until I found mine and now ive seen a few other 98's.

I agree. I got one of the OBX's, and their clearances are all off. Instead of using it as-is, I bored it out and installed ball bearings where the factory used the plastic bushings on all of the cantilever points. It was a bit of work, but now it is smooth with no slop as opposed to so tight you can hardly move it. In leiu of the B&M for the 1G it will suffice. Buy in stock form, the OBX blows chunks.
;)

-Hey Oreopride18, get rid of that dildo then get a 2G shifter knob, that will shorten ~2", if now the shifter is too low & close to the console, simply make a bracket to raise the entire shifter assembly up, I usse the 2G knob with a 2.5" raise. I also heard good thing on this .
