I just got an extra 6 bolt for my 92 TSI that is experiencing blowby right now.

I want to keep the stock bottom end on the engine b/c it has realy low miles and I'm tight on the money. I want to remove atleast one of the balance shafts if not both if fesable within my mechanical limits.

Who has the best do it yourself kits for this and where might I find the instructions.

A list of needed tools to do this job would be helpfull.
Also who has the best deals for an engine gasket set?
3 layer stock Mitsu head gasket?
ARP head bolts and studs?

Thanks for the help

Look at vfaq.com under engine, it has info on most things you need about balance shaft removal.

Although a controversial subject, Buschur claims the best head and block sealing combination is the stock composite head gasket, ARP head studs with an O-ringed head. Skip the last part for it isn't necessary for most DSMer's applications.

For the best deals on factory OEM stuff I use Conicelli, partznet.com.
