i put a 13 inch slimline spal fan on my car a few weeks ago, it only had one bracket at the top to mount it so i just put one bolt on it and it was pretty secure, well something happend and the blades hit my radiator and ripped every single blade off and put a hole in my radiator like 3 inches wide

i was at my friends shop and turbotimer was going, i heard a loud crash sound and hissing then steam rolling out from under my hood, so now i gotta buy a new fan and radiator

anyone know a good place to buy a radiator for cheap, im gonna check the trader for a stocker i guess

In geometry I learned that 3 points make a plane, use this rule for any future mountings with any object.
Secondly, why 13"? With the shroud included I don't think that it would fit too well. Stick with a 12" pancake motor fan, I just got one and it flows 1200 CFM

Based on the picture I assume you have a FMIC. I think it would be a good idea to upgrade with a Fluidyne.

it fits with tons of room to spare.....and in that pic its not in it, thats the stock fan

i got a radiator for 50 bux from a friend, and ordered a 16 inch mr gasket 2000cfm fan, that ought to get the job done!! i dont have a fmic yet, thats next, i have a supra sidemount, i dont want to spend 400 bux on a radiator if i dont need it

same thing happened to me with a hacked stocker fan (minus the hole). i had to hack the hell out of it in order to fit my 60-1. let's just say that the structural integrity was hindered & it caused bad chit to happen. from everything i read, the stock fan is better than 90% of the aftermarket fans out there. so, i had an extra stocker laying around & i didn't go too crazy with the cutting this time & it cools perfectly ever since. (and i have a stock rad, 160* t-stat & a big ass fmic) i drove it around town in 90*+ weather all day & didn't have one problem. so pretty much, my suggestion....if you can fit a stocker without destroying it....go with the stocker
