Sorry guys, had to do it. I just need some opinions on what route I should take. My current mods include turbo back exhaust, K&N, and MBC. Now I'm ready to take the next step, but can't afford to drop like 2-3 grand to do all of it at once.

I found a "barely used" Greddy big FMIC for $500 with all of the piping, which is one of the reasons why this is a tough decision.

Thanks for your opinions in advance!

i say go for the 56 trim. you can run that with the whole rest of the car being stock. i think there is like 10 guys doing this that have run 10's.

this is a joke. im being facetious. go for the fuel mods first. also do you have any idea how big a 56trim turbo is? do some research before buying a turbo. think 50trim. good day.

Thanks.... I'll log that away.:thumb: And whoops by the way. I actually meant to put 50 trim, not 56. Thanks for pointing that out.

are you still running stock BOV? If you are than you need to get that replaced right away. I would say do fuel mods and then fabricate your own FMIC buy the core from Spearco or IRC then get the end tanks you want, then get somebody that has short routed piping to give you some measurements and get your piping made from 2.5" or 3" (whichever you prefer) pressbent stuff. Then send the piping off to be powdercoated, this is after you have the flange for the BOV welded of course. BAM you have an AWESOME FMIC kit and it cost you less than one of the Pre-done kits that have to be re-fabricated anyway...plus you'll have short routed piping unlike the Greddy where you still use stock stuff. Now trust me on this cause I bought the Victory Performance Kit and it was crap almost every pipe had to be fixed. It really isn't to hard to make your own...plus it will look better and cost less. Aight enough from me...either Fuel or FMIC just make sure you get the Turbo after you get those things.

i would grab the greddy fmic since its cheap, then get fuel mods, and turbo and then your set, dont know if you have clutch or not either, may be usefull

This is actually what I plan on doing for the intercooler, however now I'm considering an upgraded side mount (for road racing). There's a shop up here that does mandrel bending pretty cheap. The guy never replied about the Greddy FMIC after I said I would only do COD.... Hmm. You might want to look out for a [email protected]. Anyways, I don't know what I was thinking with the whole 50 trim idea. The price extremepsi.com has on it right now is sooo enticing! I have a 1st gen BOV on the way to me w/a Brode UIP right now. Then I plan on doing fuel mods, then turbo and then intercooler. Thanks for the input.

yeh...these 50 trims and 60-1's with excellent deals cheaper than 20gs and not much more than a ported and clipped big 16g are REALLY getting to me. Soon after I get injectors and DSMLink (I'm going to go with 720's with my big16g) I will sell the big16g with the J-pipe hopefully for 600 since it is ported and clipped and has a 34mm wastegate mod all from SBR. Then add another 400 and have a (probably go with 50trim) and have an external dump. Just be patient...I know how hard it is...I am probably more tempted than you.

I'm curious how reliable these hybrid turbos really are though. My car is my daily driver after all. I have been having many thoughts on turbo setups in the past week or so.

Making my dome ache...

listen VERY carefully. the new turbos out on the market ARE NOT hybrids. they are full garrett in a custom cast turbine housing. they are every bit as reliable as other garrett turbos. more so than mitsu turbos IMHO.
