Hey guys I need some advice. I have a 90 Laser Turbo and I am looking into doing some mods. Very soon I will be upgrading and I was wondering what would be the most effective with cost in mind as well.

1) 2g MAS with Apexi SAFC and datalogger
2) Dejon Tool blowthrough MAS with translator and datalogger
3) At this point should I just suck it up and buy the AEM EMS

If I take the third option what would be the most cost effective form of a MAS. Could i run the Blowthrough MAS with the EMS. Also will a wideband 02 plug right into the EMS when I buy the O2 down the road??

Thanks for all your help guys!!! :thumb:

If you asking about a MAS with the EMS, I dont think your ready for it. You normally use MAP with a standalone which measures the air entering the intake mani, no MAS, no restriction.

I suggest option 2. MAF-T and Dataloger

If you have the money, an AFC would fine-tune the translator ajustments

depends on ur goals..if ur just going for 13s on the track #3 is overkill..post ur goals first then we can comment..pz

I guess I would have to say my goals for now would be low 12's or high 11's. I was thinking about going with a big 16g or 18g, FMIC, EVO III manifold, tubular o2, 3" exhaust all the way. Eventually, I want to be faster so I thought it may be better to just suck it up and buy the EMS. By the way, it is a 90 FWD. Thanks guys.

i was also wondering about pretty much the same thing, my plans are to eventually put my 1g into mid 10s, although it will probally be running low 12s untill i save up enough money for the turbo i want, i was trying to decide between the blow through uicp with a 3" gmaf and an safc, or an apexi power fc stand alone
do u guys think i will be able to go into 10s without stand alone? cause i dont want to spend the money on an safc and blow through uicp(which together are 2/3 the price of a power fc) only to have to upgrade again down the line when i get the turbo
and does anyone here have a power fc? i just want to know how easy the interace is and how well it works, i really want to know how easy it is to use and tune the power fc(on a dyno of on the street), im leaning toward the power fc and not really considering an aem ems because the power fc does not require a laptop, it has its own controler(and an artical in a recent mag where they put it on a turbo civic with very good reults only pushes me further toward it) but any and all opinions on ths would be appriciated
