I need some more fuel I want to re-wire my pump does anybody have a link to where it will tell me how or could anybody tell me with a detailed description.

It's not that hard... I did it!

1.)Here is the vfaq Fuel Pump Rewire
2.)Get the parts at radioshack / Stereo Shop (If you want pretty wire)
3.)Good luck

Thanx,
DeathBeast

Do youself a favor and use the best wire you can find. I ran 4 gauge competition high braid wire to a gold plated terminal splitter a foot before the pump, and 10 gauge competition thin braid to the pump. Wiring it up like that allows me a little extra fuel to run the boost I want. I'm running 17PSI on a ported 14b, and getting .94-.96 volts on a new O2 sensor at 7K at WOT in fourth. Which wire you use makes a huge difference.

Matt.

u can rewire it without a kit, my fuel pump is rewired with a 10 guage wire from the battery to the fuel pump, just make sure ur machanic knows its rewired, my mechanic(a good friend of mine) was looking under my hood the other day and thought my fuel pump wire was for a speaker system, and since i only have stock speakers he thought there was a hot wire running to my trunk for subs that the previous owner had, so he pulls the fuse from my fuel pump wire and the next day my car wouldnt start, i never even thought to check the fuel pump fuse, i was really pissed untill he came through and told me what he took out and i put the fuse back in

why would your mechanic #### with a wire if he didnt know what it was to? i think it's about time to get a new mechanic, or just not use one :)

Well it sounds like he thought it was a wire going to nothign since there was no longer a stereo in it. Probly trying to prevent a fire and/or battery explosion. But if he actually thought a little more, he would realize the fuse will blow first.

The wire is also powering a 360 watt amp. I used four gauge because it can more than handle the draw of both.

400watt amp 2 12" CVs and a 255hp fp....all on 8g wire.....tested it at WOT with the stereo full blast...still getting 13v to the pump.....

EDIT: my headlights seem to kill power the most ;)
