cockeysville,
Hi, i am using my friend's SN.

I have a honda h23 im rebuilding right now. It will need to be bored and with the amoutn it is being bored it will need custom pistons made. My builder swears by Venolia and recomends them highly. I was thinking about CP's or Ross slugs myself.

Venolia doesn't seem to be very well known in the Honda community, but i know some DSM guys have heard of it, so i wanna knwo what your expiriences with them have been. Thanks.:thumb:

PS. I searched, not much about it there.

Yea it seems like its a secret only known to racers. I havent heard of it much in the Honda scene, but ive been told by sources that "certain" shops use them in thier race cars while they push some other pistons that sponser them ..like the on the shelf slugs such as JE etc etc....

The great aspect about Venolia is that they will build anyhting you want. You can design it and they will be however many sets you want. If you want 1 piston, they will make 1 piston for you. I have some good friends that are into racing airplanes and Venolia is the most used piston on the circuit. I would definately recommend them.

Thanks, i just sent in the order. Well.......maybe Venolia will start makin more slugs for import applications. I know that they do a lot of domestic stuff, but it just seems liek the only reason some peopel recomend JE or Ross is because they jumped in the import scene first, not nessecarily because they r superior.

Always one of the tippy-top reputations in what I've heard over the last thirty years. Since everyone's gotten CNC machinery, they can all crank out custom pistons. I doubt you'd find $20 difference between makers at the high end, and probably less difference in quality.
