any test for valve seals

I did the leakdown and compression test and they both came back good. My vac. at idle is around 18. The reason I think its the valve seals is b/c of the smoke that comes out of my exhaust when i get on the gas or when it sits and idles for about 10 min.The smoke is a blue/gray and smells like burnt oil.

I can't tell you 100% if your seals are bad, but mine used to do the same thing. My compression was good and leakdown testing was good also. I overhauled the head, and no smoke. Before you dig into the guts of a good engine, just overhaul the head. Worked for me.
good luck

I would definatly start by overhauling the head. If your compression is good then its not a ring(s) or head gasket. Well, atleast not normally. Sometimes your rings can leak and still trick a compression test. It sounds alot like the oil seals on the vavles. If you overhaul the head and it still smokes, then you will probily have to rebuilt the block, but you already have the head out of the way. Besides machining a block cost a whole lot more than machining a head (if the head even needs any).
